Ronald Yglesias, MD. is a board-certified internal medicine physician and board-eligible rheumatologist who joined Arthritis and Rheumatic Disease Specialties in August 2017. Dr. Yglesias, who was born in Cuba but raised in Miami, is excited to return to his hometown and join our expanding practice. He completed his internal medicine residency at AtlantiCare-Geisenger in New Jersey where he was Chief Resident as well. There he forged strong patient-doctor relationships and he was awarded several distinctions for his commitment to quality and compassionate care. He was actively engaged in several systems wide quality improvement projects as part of the healthcare system’s transition to accountable care organization model. He worked closely with administration and was the liaison member between the training staff and the administrative staff.

His fellowship program gave him the opportunity to be exposed to many joint disorders. He had extensive medical training at Abington Memorial Hospital and St. Christopher’s Children Hospital of Philadelphia thus making his fund of knowledge very robust.
Dr. Yglesias serves as a sub Investigator in the many clinical trials which are being conducted at Arthritis and Rheumatic Disease Specialties. These clinical research trials are investigating new medications for use in many of the auto immune disease treated by Dr. Yglesias.
